I can safely say that I am the only staff member at Tiger Mountain Community High School to have graduated from here! I did so in the summer of 2000 and immediately put my 2 scholarships to use at Bellevue Community College.  I was originally studying towards a degree in education, but soon found my passion of cooking overtaking my school life.  Since I moved here from Colorado in 1999, I have been working in restaurant kitchens all over Seattle and the Eastside.  In 2003 I decided to take my passion seriously and attend the Culinary Arts program at The Art Institute of Seattle.  I learned a lot, but decided to save some money and go out into the work field full force.  With my new found respect for the industry, I got a job at a well known restaurant in downtown Seattle and worked extremely hard for 2 years.  So hard that I burned myself out. I decided to come back to the awesome high school I graduated from and work towards the common goal of educating and mentoring the kids in our district who need a certain type of respect and understanding.

I love to travel to my home in Texas on holidays to visit my wonderful family.  I enjoy cocktailing in West Seattle and strolling along Alki Beach and Lincoln Park. I also love hiking, camping, and traveling around the Northwest with my boyfriend.  Snowboarding and floating any of our beautiful rivers is what I enjoy doing with my girlfriends.  On lazy nights I play Guitar Hero I and II with my Mom and siblings.  Life is my delicious oyster.
