WHAT IS IT?
The State of Washington allows individual school districts the opportunity to provide an Alternative Learning Experience and Contracted Instruction (WAC 392-121-182) if students are interested or need such a program. Each student contracts for classes to be taken and the number of hours to be spent working
on each class during a week's period. The student meets with the principal one time a week, to go over completed class activities and assignments, get assistance, and obtain new assignments.WHO ATTENDS?
This program is designed for those students who find it impossible to be in
school on a daily basis for any length of time or for students who are trying to "catch up" on previous credit not earned due to medical reasons, unacceptable attendance patterns, or special circumstances involving a discipline issue.HOW TO INQUIRE?
