Sheila Thacker  

I graduated from Lee Edwards High School in Asheville , North Carolina . I attended a two year college at Brevard North Carolina . I finished my teaching degree at Seattle University and worked for the Bellevue School District as an educational assistant, gymnastics and track coach. I then got a job at Tiger Mountain Community High School and have been teaching here for 23 years. I received a Masters Degree from City University in Technology. I worked for Bellevue Community College for three years as a technical writer and helped develop a national technology curriculum. I received a Teacher Leadership Grant from Bill Gates and received a $10,000 allotment for technology for Tiger Mountain Community High School . Recently I received the ITP TEACHER GRANT FOR TEACHERS, RECEIVING A TWO YEAR TRAINING PROGRAM IN TECHNOLOGY.. I teach Multimedia, Biology, Physical Science, Botany, Health, and Year Book. I love to hike, water ski, take pictures, explore beautiful gardens, and play with my four grandchildren. I have two children and I love to do fun things with my family. Tiger Mountain is my passion. I enjoy the challenge of working with students and seeing them grow into happy, healthy, successful students.
