Students come to Tiger Mountain by choice. Upon enrollment, each student makes a strong commitment to our entrance criteria and school philosophy. Students must present a signed contract to the counselor prior to being scheduled for the orientation class. Students who want to attend Tiger Mountain Community High School, and who have completed the application process will be required to take and successfully complete an orientation class. Course activities will be used to determine the educational intent of students who want to enter programs at TMCHS.

Students will:

Ø Prepare themselves to be students by coming with necessary materials and attitude for learning

Ø    Adjust to the belief that all students are to be “learners”

Ø Align themselves with the school and district rules and regulations

Ø Acquaint themselves with the Code of Conduct and the Communication Model

Ø Ascertain, through a series of assessments, their individual skill and performance baseline

Ø Familiarize themselves with the “community” concept of TMCHS

Ø Practice and demonstrate the 3Rs and the 3Cs of behavior [respect, responsibility, relationships – character, community, citizenship]

Ø Participate in team building activities
