Hi, 

 

     My name is Joan Evans and I teach the Mentoring Program, English, Study Skills and Psychology at Tiger Mt.  This is my third year here.  I'm enjoying getting to know all the new people here.  Previously, I was teaching at the Transition Program here in Issaquah working with students ages 18-21.  While at transition, I job coached, and tutored on the college campuses etc.    I have also taught all of the elementary grades over the years.  I am the mother of four children.  Two girls and two boys ages 29,28,20 and 17.  My husband taught at Issaquah High for 33 years in the English Dept.  I was born and raised in Washington and love to ski, snowmobile, camp etc.  I also enjoy traveling and I have visited almost every one of the United States, as well as Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
