Vision Statement

Our vision is to create an environment that will inspire and accommodate students with different learning styles and foster unique learning experiences in a standards focused instructional environment, while promoting those individual strengths which will benefit our community.

 
 Mission Statement

In order to encourage the development of the individual and foster learning in an accepting and caring community, WE WILL:

Build relationships that will encourage and nurture TMCHS students’ individuality, creativity, and life-long learning skills, in order to assist students in achieving their success.

Use our Advisor/Advisee Program to foster staff/student relationships

 Teach to the Standards, while meeting the needs of the individual TMCHS student. Our goal is threefold:

                . Focus on ongoing placement assessments for all students

                . Progress each student towards higher grade level standards

                . Integrate technology into classroom instruction.

Provide relevant staff development and time for teachers to fulfill the vision and mission of

our school to include the following topics: 

                . Teaching At-Risk youth

                . Standards-based teaching to multiple levels in the same classroom

                . Develop and implement individualized instruction

                . Build a functional master schedule for staff and students

Communicate clearly TMCHS’ 3 R’s & 3 C’s: RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY,

RELATIONSHIPS, CHARACTER, CITIZENSHIP AND COMMUNITY.

Staff will lead by example.

                . Promote the 3 R’s & 3 C’s

                . Create and post professional posters of the 3 R’s & 3 C’s

Create an expanded school day that will allow instructional flexibility for all TMCHS students.

                . Explore existing on-line educational programs

Work with TMCHS students in identifying appropriate choices and making effective decisions

by role modeling, communication, caring and understanding.

                . Model our TMCHS Communication Ground Rules

Encourage all TMCHS students to volunteer and serve in their community.

                .  Create opportunities for TMCHS students to improve the TMCHS image within

                   the Issaquah Community
